Footwear Designer Elena Park is an independent footwear designer with a decade of experience sketching, prototyping and bringing original silhouettes to life. Her work bridges performance engineering and street-ready aesthetics.
The Story
Elena studied industrial design before falling head-first into footwear. "A sneaker is one of the few products people form a genuine emotional bond with," she says. "It carries you through your life."
She's known for obsessive prototyping — some designs go through forty iterations before she's satisfied. Her sketchbooks have become collectibles in their own right.
After years inside larger studios, Elena now consults independently and is developing her own debut line, built specifically as a canvas for customizers. The Q&A
What makes a great silhouette?
Restraint. The best shoes leave room for the wearer to bring something of their own.
Sketch or CAD first?
Always pencil. The hand catches ideas the software never would.
A dream collaboration?
A capsule built entirely around customization — sold blank, finished by artists.
